ADRIANOUPOLIS (in Turkish Edirne)

( 3 days Friday 31.01.2020 to Sunday 02.02.2020 )

1st day Thessaloniki – Adrianople.
Departure in the morning in front of the A΄ Lyceum of Kalamaria at 07.00. Boarding is possible from V. Olgas streets
(Two stops at the Colosseum and Paraskevopoulos) and on Egnatia (one stop at the statue of Venizelos in
Aristotelous Square ). First stop in Moustheni for a coffee and then a second stop in Soufli to rest and finally to the border of Kastania. After checking the new IDs or passports we will arrive
in Adrianople (which is only 10 km away). After we get our rooms in our 4* star hotel we will
depart on our bus to the city for an optional midday meal and as today is Friday it has the famous Bazaar which also coincides with the sale period for various shopping. A walk on the Saraclar pedestrian street will delight you. In the evening we will improvise.

Day 2 Adrianople - 40 Churches - Adrianople.
After breakfast at 09.00 we will depart for the Forty Churches
which is 65 km away and where we will be guided by our official guide
in the Greek districts and we will buy the traditional halva that
it is also the specialty of the city. Return to Adrianople and
continuation of the tour by visiting the archaeological sites as well
and the historic Karagac railway station  where the
historic train <<Orian Express>> and was arriving in Paris. Then
free on the pedestrian street and in the closed market and for lunch
food in the central square to taste the delicious liver and
kebab''. Finally we will return to the hotel and then free
in the very large department store you find right across the street
hotel for shopping since it's sale season and it's a bargain
renewing our wardrobe. Evening meal inside the department store.

3rd day Adrianople - Orestiada - Thessaloniki.
After breakfast at 09.00 our luggage on the bus and we will depart for our last visit to
city center and at 12.00 departure for the border. After border control departure for Orestiada
for an optional midday meal and the time we will set departure with a stop in Moustheni for a coffee.
Finally arrival in Thessaloniki at around 21.00.
