LAKE OHRID - MONASTERY
(Strunga)
( 3 days 25.11.2022 – 27.11.2022 )
1st DAY Friday 25.11.2022 Thessaloniki – Edessa – Florina – Ohrid.
Departure in the morning at 08.00 in front of the 1st Lyceum
Kalamaria on Chilis street. It is possible to board on
the axis of B.Olga Street two stops (that
be planned according to the number of people ) and
on Egnatia at the statue of Venizelos in the Square
Aristotle. First, stop for 30 minutes in Edessa for
coffee, and then outside of Florina arrive at
the borders of Nike. After checking passports or identity cards
visit the duty-free items and departure for the
Lake Ohrid. The route is very nice enjoy it.
Arrive in Ohrid and check in at our hotel
located in the city in front of the lake. Ohrid
of note is a small and beautiful town. After
settling in our rooms, free time in the city and a walk on the pedestrian
streets since our hotel
is 200 meters from the pedestrian street of the city. The market for jewelry made
from scales
of fish (which exist only in Lake Ohrid) will be a good purchase and souvenir.
The
evening at 20.00 for the hotel where at 20.30 we will meet at the restaurant
for dinner
food and entertainment with local instrumentalists.
2nd DAY Saturday 26.11.2022 Saint Naum – Ohrid.
After breakfast departure at 09.00 with our guide for the
monastery of Saint Naum which is built on the lake
32KM from the hotel near the Albanian border. From here
Cyril and Methodius began to teach the Slavs
the Cyrillic alphabet. We will visit the monastery and
then we will return to the city to visit them
Churches of St. Sophia - Ag. Clement, - the Roman
Theater and optionally Tsar Samuel's castle.
Optional midday meal and then to the port
of the lake at 15.00 for an optional walk (one hour) with
boat on the lake. The rest of the day at leisure
city until the evening at 20.00 when we will meet at
restaurant area for dinner.
DAY 3 Sunday 27.11.2022 Ohrid – Struga – Monastiri – Thessaloniki.
After breakfast the bags on the bus at 09.15 and departure at 09.30. Visit the neighbor
Struga city is 15 Km from our hotel. Stroll along the pedestrian street of the town
which is built next to
the River Drim. We will stay here until 12.00 when we will take the road
to Greece.
A stop at the Monastery (Vitola) is necessary for an optional midday meal
and the latter
shopping. After the border control, we will arrive in Edessa for afternoon coffee
and finally to
Kalamaria around 20.00.

2. You can travel with a passport or an identity card with Latin characters.
3. The declaration of participation will be made with an advance payment of €75
and the following information
required for the border: Full name, father's name, date of birth - number
passport, or identity card. Payment no later than 20.11.2022, Sunday.
4. Priority of participation will be observed to avoid misunderstandings since the rooms
granted to us are only 25.
5. Parity of dinar to € = 60 dinars = 1 Euro.
6. Be careful when using the phone, whether it is taken or taken from you, the charge is very high
due to the fact that this country is not in the European Union. But if you are in a place that has
WiFi (like in the hotel) then use your phone's Viber and then you have no charge.
