POGRADETS – TIRANA - GIRL
(3 days 23.03.2019–25.03.2019 )
1st DAY Saturday Thessaloniki – Pogradec.
Departure in the morning at 07.30 in front of the 1st Lyceum of Kalamaria on Chilis street. Boarding is possible on B. Olga and Egnatia streets. First stop for 30 minutes at Plaza on the way to Veria. After departure for the Albanian border of Krystalopigi for checking passports or IDs and then stopping for 30 minutes at the Free shop and visiting the duty free items. Depart for Pogradec. The route is very nice enjoy it. Arrival around 13.00 at Lake Ohrid and specifically at Pogradec and after checking into our hotel rooms free to visit the lake at the well-known Drilon Park of the Swans and an optional midday meal at a tavern near the lake. The trout they serve grilled are very tasty and cheap. The rest of the day free at the beach. At 18.00 departure for Komopoli where we will stay until 20.00 when we will leave for the hotel which is 3 kilometers away. In the evening at 20.30 everyone at the hotel in the restaurant area where we will have the rich dinner with wine soft drinks and live music with bouzouki clarinet etc. and songs by local musicians.
2nd DAY Sunday Pogradec – Tirana – Elbasan.
After breakfast departure at 08.30 for Tirana which is only 130 km away. Arrival in Tirana at around 10.30 at the Church of the Resurrection of Christ where we will light a candle and attend the Divine Liturgy and then with our guide we will visit the Castle of Tirana – Skenderbei Square (Georgiou Kastriotis) and then free in the city for food and a walk. Departure at 15.30 for El Bashan where we will stay for an hour and a half for a walk in the central market and then for Pogradec where we will rest and in the evening eat at the hotel restaurant.
3rd DAY Sunday Pogradets - Koritsa - Thessaloniki
After breakfast at 09.30 departure for Koritsa. Here you can visit the Church of the Resurrection of the Lord at the top of the pedestrian street. Then to the city market which is also open on Sundays as well as also to the beautiful pedestrian street of the city with the cafes and taverns with the delicious sojukas (which the Albanians call kebabs). After wandering around the city take care of your midday meal (which is very cheap) and at 15.00 departure for Greece. After the border control departure and stop for an hour in Kastoria for a coffee and finally we will arrive in Thessaloniki.
